小编的好友Bunny前一段时间得了重感冒,每天都精神不振的。她拖着重重的鼻音和我说:“我现在头好晕啊,昏昏沉沉的。”这句话,用英语说就是:“I feel dizzy. My head is swimming.”
Swim 除了本意“游泳”外,可以表示东西仿佛在旋转,眩晕。比如:
The room swam before her and she had to lie down again.
房间好像在她眼前旋转,她只得躺下。
The drink made his head swim.
这杯酒让她头晕目眩。
生病头晕和喝酒头晕还可以用“light-headed”表示:
I was light-headed; I had not slept and I was hungry.
我头晕,我没合过眼,而且饥肠辘辘。
有一次呢,小编和Bunny一起去学校,她的鞋带松了。她蹲下系好以后,很快站起来,不过她没有立刻往前走,而是停了几秒钟。我问:“怎么了?(What’s wrong?)”,她说:“起得太猛了,头有点晕。”
这句话用英语表达就是:“I got a head rush from standing up too fast.”

是的,Swim也可以用在这里。Freak out 就是崩溃,抓狂的意思。Freak out也有吓坏,受惊的意思:
Snakes really freak me out.
我真的非常害怕蛇。(我看见蛇就吓得半死。)
