The long history of China is a cultural treasure for all of the Chinese people. Many businesses have set up to preserve and broadcast this rich cultural heritage to China and the rest of the world. Famous writers use their words to convey the messages in the heritage of the Chinese people. This literary output is not alone. Broadcasting companies for both television and film are also doing their part. Works based on the Four Masters’ Works appear constantly on television. Movies are dedicated to the historical dramas that shape our view on history. While these have broad appeal, newspapers have done a great deal to influence the perceptions of the people. They report on the culture of China and alert the people so that action can be taken if needed. Despite all of these efforts, many people have grown away from the classics of Chinese thought and literature. Thus, compulsory education is needed to help preserve their cultural awareness even though it is not known if that would help. Preserving the culture of China is a responsibility of all Chinese people. More importantly, these traditional treasures must be studied and learned so that the meaning of being Chinese is not lost. That is why the cultural industry in China is needed.

Grammar 语法小结
过去将来时
1.过去将来时的基本结构是should/ would + 动词原形,表示从过去的某一时间来看将要发生的动作或存在的状态。主语为第一人称时,要用should, 主语为其他人称时,则要用would (在美语中,第一人称也常用would)
She didn’t tell me where she would go.
她没告诉我她要去哪里。
May said she would visit the Great Wall next Saturday.
阿美说她下个星期六要去长城。
She never dreamed the house would be so beautiful.
她做梦也没想到这栋房子会这么漂亮。
2.过去将来时也可以用was/ were going to + 动词原形来表示
I wasn’t sure whether she was going to speak at the meeting.
我不确定她是否会在会议上发言。
I was sure that they were going to do that.
我肯定他们要做那件事。
